Speaking to the Saffron Walden Reporter, the 33-year-old former Fame Academy contestant said: “Because it is a carnival, I’m expecting everyone to be really up for it and full of energy.

“We will have a lot of fun and there will be plenty of humour on stage, and I promise everyone will have a really great time.”

Lemar tour and writing the last few months have been busy in the dance world and its recent UK leg accompanied by Enrique Iglesias.

“It was amazing to tour with Enrique, all the gigs were in arenas and the buzz from the crowd in each one was immense.

“I have also spent most of my time writing for the new album due out next year, all the songs are done and written – we are now just waiting to complete the business side of things.”

We asked the crowd eight day extravaganza (1 July) on the opening night of his carnival performance can expect to see.

He said, “I am still enjoying promoting my greatest hits album from last year. So people can expect all the well known hits, I may try some new material, but I will be definitely performing some well known but never seen before covers.”

He added: “I love all the new soul out there as well at the minute, Adele, Jessie J, they are all doing great things. It is tremendous to be a part of the UK music scene right now.”
